120V Infrared Sauna Heater Panel Package w/ Timer (1-12 Panels)
This infrared sauna heater package includes a mechanical sauna timer controller and your choice of 1–12 carbon fiber FAR infrared heater panels (300W each, 120V). Designed for custom saunas and retrofit builds (up to 240 cu ft), this kit provides everything needed to convert a small room, closet, or framed space into a fully functional infrared or hybrid sauna. It can be used in combination with a traditional sauna heater, if desired.
Package Includes
Key Features
-
FAR Infrared Heaters- Heat your body directly with a deep penetrating heat at lower sauna air temperatures (120-140°F) as compared to a traditional sauna heater that heats the air which heats your body (180-194°F). Both make you sweat!
-
Hybrid Sauna Capable- Add to a traditional sauna to gain infrared health benefits. Each panel has built-in heat protection to temporarily shut it off above ~140°F sauna room temp to keep it from overheating. You can use less panels if using them in combination with a traditional sauna heater.
-
Quick Heat Up- They start radiating heat to your body within minutes as opposed to traditional heaters that can take up to an hour to heat the sauna
-
High-Quality Construction – Carbon fiber heating paper laminated between fiberglass layers and enclosed in a hand-sanded basswood frame.
-
Easy Installation – Panels measure 20"x32" and mount vertically or horizontally like picture frames. Short wiring leads extend off the rear of each panel.
-
Modular Coverage – Select the number of panels needed based on room size using a simple watt-per-cubic-foot guideline.
Room Sizing Guidance:
For proper heating, plan for a minimum of 15 watts per cubic foot. For example, a 3' × 4' × 6' room (72 cu.ft.) requires approximately 1,080 watts, or four 300W panels.
Specifications
Specifications
- Panel Quantity: 1–12 panels (300W each)
- Panel Voltage: 120V
- Note: 7 or more panels require a 240V circuit and an electrical box with a contactor (purchased separately or supplied by electrician)
- Panel Dimensions: 20"x32"x1"
- Controller: 60-Minute Mechanical Countdown Timer
- Staple aluminum vapor barrier or aluminum foil on the wall behind the panel
- Space the panel 3/4" off the wall with wooden spacer blocks to allow heat behind the panel to escape
- Each panel has built-in protection by way of a thermal limit switch on the backside that temporarily cuts power to the panel when the switch reaches 230°F. In a typical sauna, this occurs when the room temp is ~130-140°F which varies depending on your sauna design and layout.
- Typical temperature on exposed surface of panel: 150-165°F (feels warm to the touch, but does not burn)
- Frame Material: Basswood
- IR Panel Material: Fiberglass laminated carbon fiber heating element
- Wire Leads: extend approximately 1ft from rear of panel (hot & neutral wires)
- Limited Lifetime Warranty on Panels
