Maxxus Saunas

Maxxus Saunas

Maxxus Saunas — Indoor Infrared Saunas by Golden Designs

Maxxus is the mid-range infrared sauna line from Golden Designs, Inc. — the same parent company behind Dynamic Saunas. Where Dynamic focuses on entry-level infrared cabins exclusively in Canadian Hemlock, Maxxus steps up with two wood options (Canadian Hemlock and Canadian Red Cedar), floor heaters in addition to wall and ceiling panels for more even heat distribution, and a broader range of EMF tiers including full spectrum models in Red Cedar. Every Maxxus sauna is an indoor infrared cabin that ships as pre-assembled panels, assembles in about an hour with two people, and plugs into a standard 120V household outlet. Free shipping on every model, 0% APR financing available.

Product Lines

Maxxus organizes their saunas into three distinct product lines, each with a different construction approach and feature set.

K-Series (Standard line) — The core Maxxus lineup. Built from Canadian Hemlock or Canadian Red Cedar (most models are available in both wood species). K-Series saunas use carbon heating panels on the walls, ceiling, and floor with either Low EMF (5–10 milligauss) or Near Zero EMF PureTech panels (under 2 milligauss). Floor heaters are included on all K-Series models — a feature that Dynamic saunas lack — providing more uniform heat from feet to head. Standard features include Bluetooth audio, chromotherapy interior lighting, privacy tempered glass door, and digital controls. Models span 2-person through 4-person sizes, with corner-layout options at the 3-person size for rooms where a corner placement works better than a flat wall.

M-Series (Full Spectrum Cedar) — Maxxus's premium tier. All M-Series models are built in Canadian Red Cedar and use Near Zero EMF full spectrum infrared panels that produce near, mid, and FAR infrared wavelengths. Full spectrum provides the complete therapeutic range: near infrared for skin and surface tissue, mid infrared for deeper soft tissue and joints, and FAR infrared for core heating and deep sweating. Available in 2-person, 3-person, and 3-person corner configurations. If you want the most complete infrared experience Maxxus offers, the M-Series is it. Shop all full spectrum infrared saunas.

S-Line (Modern design) — Maxxus's newest line with a contemporary aesthetic. S-Line saunas are built from Pacific Cedar and feature a sleeker cabinet design with built-in red light therapy panels standard on every model. Available in three technology tiers: Low EMF FAR, Ultra Low EMF FAR (Elite), and Near Zero EMF Full Spectrum (FS). The S-Line comes in 2-person and 3-person sizes. Note that the S-Line 3-person Full Spectrum model requires a dedicated 120V/20A outlet rather than a standard 15A outlet.

Seattle & Bellevue (J-Series) — Maxxus's most affordable entry point. The Seattle is a 2-person cabin and the Bellevue is a 3-person cabin, both in Canadian Hemlock. Available in Low EMF and Near Zero EMF configurations. These share the same panel technology as the K-Series but at a lower price point with a simplified feature set — a good choice if you want Maxxus build quality on a tighter budget.

Hemlock vs. Red Cedar

Many Maxxus K-Series models are available in both Canadian Hemlock and Canadian Red Cedar, so wood choice is a real decision point. Canadian Hemlock is a light-colored, neutral-scented softwood — clean-looking and cost-effective. Canadian Red Cedar is a richer-toned wood with a natural aromatic scent, higher natural resistance to moisture and decay, and a warmer visual character. Cedar models are priced higher than their Hemlock counterparts. If you prefer a scent-free, lower-cost sauna, go Hemlock. If you want the classic cedar aroma and appearance, go Cedar. Both species are kiln-dried and tongue-and-groove milled for tight panel joints.

Models by Size

2-person saunas — The most compact Maxxus models. Options include the K-Series (Hemlock, Low EMF or Near Zero EMF), M-Series (Red Cedar, Full Spectrum), S-Line (Pacific Cedar in three tiers), and Seattle (Hemlock, budget-friendly). These typically measure roughly 3.5' × 4' and fit in a bedroom, spare room, basement, or garage corner.

3-person saunas — Available in standard flat-wall and corner layouts. The flat-wall K-Series, M-Series, S-Line, and Bellevue (J-Series) models provide a wider bench for stretching out or two people sitting side by side comfortably. The corner models (K-Series and M-Series) use an angled cabinet that tucks into a room corner, saving floor space while still seating three.

4-person saunas — The K-Series 4-person model is Maxxus's largest cabin, available in both Hemlock and Red Cedar. Dual bench seating on opposite sides with panels covering all walls, ceiling, and floor for full-body coverage.

Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy (RLT) panels are built into every S-Line model and available on the K-Series Near Zero EMF models. These panels emit wavelengths in the 630–660nm (red) and 830–850nm (near infrared) ranges, targeting skin health, collagen production, muscle recovery, and inflammation. If red light therapy is a priority, the S-Line offers it across all technology tiers. Shop all red light therapy saunas.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Maxxus and Dynamic saunas?

Both brands come from Golden Designs, Inc. Dynamic is the entry-level infrared line — exclusively Canadian Hemlock with wall and ceiling panels. Maxxus adds floor heaters for more even heat distribution, offers a choice between Hemlock and Red Cedar on most models, and includes full spectrum options in the M-Series and S-Line. If you want the lowest price on a solid infrared sauna, Dynamic is the move. If you want better heat coverage, wood selection, or full spectrum capability, Maxxus is the upgrade.

Do Maxxus saunas need a dedicated electrical circuit?

Most Maxxus models plug into a standard 120V/15A household outlet — no electrician or hardwiring required. The one exception is the S-Line 3-person Full Spectrum model (MX-S306-01-FS-PC), which requires a dedicated 120V/20A outlet. Check the product page for the specific model you're considering.

Which wood should I choose — Hemlock or Red Cedar?

Hemlock is lighter in color, scent-neutral, and less expensive. Red Cedar has a natural aromatic scent, richer grain, and slightly better moisture resistance. Neither requires sealing or staining. If you enjoy the classic cedar sauna smell, go Cedar. If you prefer no scent (or want to use essential oils without competing aromas), Hemlock works well. Both are durable, kiln-dried, and tongue-and-groove milled.

What's included with a Maxxus sauna?

All heating panels (wall, ceiling, and floor on K-Series), digital control panel, tempered glass door, interior chromotherapy lighting, Bluetooth speakers, bench seating, and all hardware for assembly. The sauna ships on a pallet as pre-assembled panels — walls, floor, ceiling, and roof connect with buckle fasteners. No cutting, no wiring, no special tools beyond a screwdriver.

How does Maxxus compare to other infrared sauna brands?

Maxxus sits in the mid-range of the infrared market — above Dynamic in features and below premium brands like Finnmark Designs and Peak Saunas in price. The key Maxxus advantages are floor heaters (better heat coverage than wall-only brands), Hemlock and Cedar options, and the M-Series full spectrum lineup in Red Cedar.
