Wall-Mounted Electric Heaters — Residential

KIP (4.5 / 6 / 8 kW) — Harvia's best-selling residential heater and the most popular wall-mounted sauna heater in our catalog. A traditional stainless steel design with a large stone capacity for consistent steam and steady temperatures. Available in stainless steel or black steel finishes. Three control options: built-in knob controls (simplest, no external panel needed), Xenio CX170 digital touchscreen with WiFi, or separate purchase of heater only. The Wall (6 / 8 kW) — Harvia's most affordable wall-mounted heater. A simple, customizable design with built-in controls — no external panel required. Available in stainless steel or black steel. Ships with stones. A straightforward option if you want a reliable Harvia heater without the Xenio digital controls or WiFi. This is the heater included with most Golden Designs and Dundalk barrel saunas. Heats saunas from 175–425 cubic feet.

Spirit (6 / 8 kW) — Harvia's design-forward wall-mounted heater. A curved body designed for rounded stones that create a softer, more enveloping steam than the angular stones used in the KIP and The Wall. The Spirit is the aesthetic choice — it looks like a piece of natural sculpture on your sauna wall. Compatible with Xenio digital controls and WiFi. Vega Compact (1.7 / 1.9 / 3.5 kW) — Harvia's smallest heater for very compact saunas. Available in 120V (1.7 kW and 1.9 kW — plugs into a standard household outlet with no electrician required) and 240V (3.5 kW). The 120V versions are one of the only traditional sauna heaters on the market that work with a standard outlet, making them ideal for small indoor saunas, sauna tents, and compact DIY builds where running a 240V circuit isn't practical.

Compatible with Xenio controls and WiFi. The Club picks up where the Cilindro leaves off in terms of heating power — choose the Club when you need 10+ kW for a larger sauna room.

Virta (6 / 8 / 10.5 kW) — A powerful, stylish floor-standing heater compatible with Xenio digital controls. Available as heater only or as a complete package with Xenio WiFi controller and stones.

Virta Pro (16 / 20 kW) — Harvia's most powerful standard heater for large commercial saunas — spas, hotels, apartment complexes, and wellness centers. 16 kW and 20 kW options for saunas up to 1,130 cubic feet. Wood-Burning Sauna Stoves

M3 Series — Harvia's residential wood-burning sauna stove. Available as a stove only or in packages that include the chimney kit, floor protection, heat shield set, and stones. Wood-burning stoves are the traditional Finnish heating method — no electricity required, which makes them ideal for off-grid outdoor saunas, cabins, and remote locations. Controls & WiFi

Xenio CX170 (for KIP heaters) — A digital touchscreen control panel with WiFi connectivity specifically designed for the KIP heater series. Mount it inside the sauna, in the bathroom, or in the dressing room. Controls temperature, lighting, delayed start, and timed shutoff. WiFi connects to the MyHarvia app (iOS and Android) for remote sauna control from your phone.

Xenio CX30 / CX45 (for Spirit, Cilindro, Club, Virta) — The same Xenio digital touchscreen with WiFi, designed for the Spirit, Cilindro, Club, and Virta heater series (not Virta Combi). CX30 covers 6 kW Spirit/Virta/Cilindro and 10 kW Club. CX45 covers 8 kW Spirit, 8–10.5 kW Cilindro, 8–20 kW Virta, and 12.5–15 kW Club.

Heater Packages vs. Heater Only

Most Harvia heaters on this page are available in two formats: heater only (just the heater unit — you supply your own controller, stones, and wiring) or complete package (heater + Xenio digital controller with WiFi + stones, ready to install). The packages are the better value if you're buying a heater for a new sauna build and need everything. The heater-only option is for buyers replacing an existing heater who already have a controller and stones, or for those who want to pair the heater with a different control setup. Which Harvia heater should I buy?

Start with your sauna's cubic footage — this determines the kW rating you need. Use our sauna heater sizing calculator to find the right size. For most home saunas (100–425 cu ft), the KIP is the default choice — it's Harvia's most popular residential heater with the widest range of control options. If aesthetics matter, the Spirit has a more sculptural design with rounded stones. If you want a floor-standing centerpiece, the Cilindro is the most visually striking. For small saunas under 100 cu ft or where you need 120V, the Vega Compact is the only option. For large or commercial saunas over 500 cu ft, the Virta Pro has the power you need. How does Harvia compare to HUUM?

HUUM is an Estonian heater manufacturer and Harvia's primary competitor in the premium residential market. Both make excellent heaters. Do all Harvia heaters require 240V?

Most do — the KIP, Spirit, The Wall, Cilindro, Club, Virta, and Virta Pro all require a dedicated 240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician. The exception is the Vega Compact, which is available in 120V versions (1.7 kW and 1.9 kW) that plug into a standard household outlet. Can I add WiFi to my existing Harvia heater?

Yes — if you have a Harvia heater compatible with Xenio controls (KIP, Spirit, Cilindro, Club, Virta), you can add the Xenio digital controller with WiFi or the standalone WiFi upgrade module to enable MyHarvia app control from your phone. Heaters with built-in knob controls (KIP Built-In, The Wall) don't support Xenio — you'd need to replace the heater or purchase a Xenio-compatible model.

Does my sauna kit already include a Harvia heater?

Most traditional and hybrid sauna kits from Golden Designs include a Harvia heater (typically the Harvia WALL or KIP). Dundalk Leisurecraft saunas ship as shell kits — the heater is purchased separately. Check the specific sauna product page to confirm what's included. If your sauna kit includes a heater but you want a different model, you can purchase an upgrade separately from this page.
