Finlandia is a line of wall-mounted electric sauna heaters manufactured by Harvia in Finland. If you've seen Finlandia heaters in sauna kits, custom builds, or gym saunas across the U.S., they're Harvia-made heaters sold under the Finlandia brand name through the North American distribution channel. Finlandia heaters use the same industrial-grade stainless steel construction, triple-wall safety design, and direct rock-to-element contact as Harvia's own lineup — the key difference is Finlandia's separate control system (controls sold independently from the heater) and its own model numbering. FIN Series — Heater Only (Controls Sold Separately)

The FIN series is the core Finlandia lineup. These are heater-only units — you choose and purchase the control separately, giving you flexibility to match the right control type (digital WiFi, dial timer, or commercial) to your setup. Models with an "-S" suffix have a polished stainless steel exterior for a more finished look; standard models have a painted steel exterior.

FIN-30 / FIN-30S (3kW) — For small saunas up to 130 cubic feet. 240V single-phase only. The entry-level Finlandia heater for compact home saunas. Requires CX170 or F1T control.

FIN-45 / FIN-45S (4.5kW) — For saunas up to 210 cubic feet. Available in 240V/1PH and 208V/3PH configurations. The mid-range residential option. Requires CX170, F1T (240V only), or F2T control (with contactor).

FIN-60 (6kW) — For saunas up to 300 cubic feet. Available in 240V/1PH and 208V/3PH. The most popular Finlandia size for standard home saunas. Requires CX170, F1T (240V only), or F2T control (with contactor).

FIN-80 / FIN-80S (8kW) — For saunas from 250–425 cubic feet. Available in 240V/1PH and 208V/3PH. The largest Finlandia residential heater. Requires CX170, F2T, or F2 control — all require a contactor at 8kW. Dimensions: 16"W × 11"D × 24"H, weighs 40 lbs (plus 50 lbs of included igneous sauna stones).

FLB Series — Heater with Built-In Controls

FLB-30 (3kW) — A 3kW wall-mounted heater with a built-in control panel that includes a one-hour timer and an 8-hour pre-set heating option. For saunas from 84–130 cubic feet. 240V single-phase. The FLB is the simpler option for small saunas — no separate control to purchase, wire, or install. Same stainless steel construction and triple-wall safety design as the FIN series.

Controls

FIN series heaters require a separately purchased control. Choose based on your voltage, heater size, and desired features:

CX170 (Xenio Digital Control) — Harvia's programmable digital touchscreen controller. The most feature-rich option with precise temperature and timer settings. This is the same Xenio CX170 control used in Harvia heater packages. Compatible with all FIN heaters in both 240V and 208V configurations. Includes built-in contactor for heaters up to 10.5kW, so no separate contactor needed.

F1T (Dial Time & Temperature Control) — A wall-mounted analog dial control with time and temperature adjustment. Flush-mounted outside the sauna room. For 240V/1PH FIN heaters up to 6kW (FIN-30 through FIN-60). The straightforward, no-frills option.

F2T (On/Off/Time/Temperature Control) — An external wall-mounted control with a 60-minute countdown timer, thermostat, and interior light switch. For 1-phase and 3-phase FIN and Club heaters. Requires a contactor for heaters 8kW and above.

F2 (Commercial On/Off/Temperature Control) — An external control with on/off and temperature adjustment without a countdown timer — designed for commercial and gym saunas where the heater runs on a schedule rather than single-session timing. Compatible with Harvia Club and Finlandia FIN heaters. Requires a contactor.

Contactors & Accessories

FX402 Contactor — For FIN-80 at 240V/1PH with F2T control, and for FIN-30/45/60/80 with F2 control. Required when using F-series controls with higher-kW heaters.

FX303 Contactor — For 208V/3PH configurations with F2T or F2 controls.

FX404 Contactor — For Harvia Club K 240V/1PH sauna heaters 9kW and above using F2T or F2 controls.

24H7D Digital Time Clock — A 24-hour, 7-day programmable timer for Club model heaters using F2 control with the appropriate contactor. Frequently used in gyms and health clubs to limit sauna operation to business hours.

What's the difference between Finlandia and Harvia?

Finlandia heaters are manufactured by Harvia in Finland — same factory, same build quality. The Finlandia brand is sold through a separate North American distribution channel with its own model numbering (FIN/FLB) and control system (F1T, F2T, F2, CX170). If you're choosing between Finlandia and Harvia, the heater quality is equivalent. All Finlandia heaters require a dedicated circuit and installation by a licensed electrician. There is no 120V Finlandia option — if you need a standard household outlet heater, the Harvia Vega Compact is available in 120V versions.

Can I use Finlandia parts with Harvia heaters?

Some Finlandia controls and contactors are cross-compatible with Harvia heaters (the CX170 is the same Harvia Xenio controller, and the F2/F2T controls work with Harvia Club heaters).
