Cozy Heat manufactures wood-burning sauna stoves by hand in Estonia, one of the world's deepest sauna cultures. Every Cozy Heat stove is designed for the traditional löyly experience — mild, long-lasting heat from a wood fire with stones on top for pouring water and creating steam. No electricity required. The full Cozy Heat lineup comes in five distinct stove designs across two power ratings (12kW and 18kW), and every design is available in both interior-feed and thru-wall feed configurations. That gives you the right stove for nearly any sauna size or layout, from compact backyard builds to large commercial saunas. Free shipping on all Cozy Heat products, 0% APR financing available.

Every Cozy Heat stove design is available in two feeding configurations. Interior feed stoves sit entirely inside the sauna room — you load firewood from inside the sauna. This is the simpler installation. Thru-wall (TW) feed stoves extend through the sauna wall so the firebox door is accessible from outside the sauna room (or from an adjacent changing room). The thru-wall design keeps smoke, bark debris, and ash outside the sauna and lets you add wood without opening the sauna door and losing heat. Most buyers building a dedicated outdoor sauna choose thru-wall; interior feed works well for existing rooms or simpler builds.
The original Cozy Heat stove. A straightforward, proven design for traditional wood-fired sauna heating.
12kW — For saunas from 210–423 cubic feet. Available as interior feed or thru-wall. 18kW — For larger saunas from 317–635 cubic feet. Available as interior feed or thru-wall.
A design variation with a distinct aesthetic compared to the base model. Same Estonian craftsmanship, same heating performance, different look.
O 12kW — For saunas from 210–423 cubic feet. Available as interior feed or thru-wall. O 18kW — For saunas from 317–635 cubic feet. Available as interior feed or thru-wall.
An authentic design with visual elements that set it apart from the standard O and base models. The OG is described as having a more traditional, heritage-inspired aesthetic.
OG 12kW — For saunas from 210–423 cubic feet. Available as interior feed or thru-wall. OG 18kW — Available as interior feed or thru-wall.
The Quattro features a modern, angular design that complements rustic sauna interiors with a contemporary edge. A visual departure from the rounded profiles of the other Cozy Heat lines.
Quattro 12kW — For saunas from 210–423 cubic feet. Available as thru-wall. Quattro 18kW — Available as thru-wall.
A dramatic design that sets a new standard for wood-burning stove aesthetics. The SW brings bold visual presence to your sauna while delivering the same mild, long-lasting heat as the rest of the Cozy Heat lineup.
SW 12kW — For saunas from 210–423 cubic feet. Available as interior feed or thru-wall.
Cozy Heat stoves come in two power ratings. The 12kW models heat saunas from 210–423 cubic feet — this covers most standard home saunas, barrel saunas, and small-to-medium outdoor cabins. The 18kW models heat saunas from 317–635 cubic feet — designed for larger outdoor saunas, commercial installations, and any build where you want faster heat-up times and more thermal mass. Calculate your sauna's cubic footage (length × width × height in feet) and match to the appropriate range. When in doubt, size up — a slightly oversized stove heats faster and gives you more stone capacity for better steam.
All wood-burning sauna stoves require a chimney for proper venting. You'll need either a thru-roof chimney (vertical run through the ceiling and roof) or a thru-wall chimney (horizontal run through the wall and then vertical). The chimney type depends on your sauna's structure and local building codes. We carry chimney kits that are compatible with Cozy Heat stoves. Floor protection is also required — check your model's product page for exact clearance and protection requirements.
HUUM wood stoves (HIVE Flow, HIVE Flow Mini, HIVE WOOD) are the design-forward option with the iconic stacked-stone aesthetic and visible fire chamber. Harvia M3 Series stoves are the established Finnish option for off-grid and remote builds. Cozy Heat sits between them — handcrafted Estonian quality with five distinct designs to choose from, and every model available in thru-wall configuration. Cozy Heat gives you the most design variety of any wood-burning stove brand we carry. Read our wood-burning stove comparison for more detail.
Check the individual product page for what's included. Most Cozy Heat stoves are sold as the stove unit — stones, chimney kit, and floor protection are typically purchased separately. We carry sauna stones compatible with all wood-burning stoves.
Wood-burning stoves require proper ventilation and chimney venting, which makes them primarily suited for outdoor saunas and dedicated sauna buildings. Indoor installation is possible in some cases but requires compliance with local building codes, fire safety regulations, and proper chimney routing. Consult a licensed contractor or local building department before installing any wood-burning stove indoors. For indoor saunas, electric sauna heaters are the standard choice.
All five design lines (base, O, OG, Quattro, SW) deliver the same heating performance at the same kW rating — the choice is aesthetic. The base model and O are the classic options. The OG has a more heritage-inspired look. The Quattro brings modern angular design. The SW is the boldest visual statement. Browse the product images for each to find the style that matches your sauna's interior.
