Tempered glass window pane that can easily be incorporated into your custom sauna build. Frameless to maximize the window opening and view.

Features

Withstands temperatures of up to 470F (saunas max out at 230F)
Withstands uneven temperatures and thermal shock like splashed water
4x stronger than standard glass; able to withstand powerful winds & direct blows
If shattered, it breaks into small granules rather than sharp shards which is important in a sauna with barefoot users
Single pane to eliminate the risk of condensation between dual panes resulting from failed seals caused by heat cycling
Note that condensation will occur on the interior of the window just like on the outside of a glass of ice water on a hot and humid summer day
14" diameter fits perfectly between standard 16" on center wall studs
Tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled, or grinded without shattering
A round window can be a really unique design feature; however, building a round wood frame and trim is time consuming and requires advanced wood working skills. Make sure you have a plan and abilities before purchasing glass. You can find "How To" videos online.

Installation

Recommended installation method:

Create a window rough opening that is 1/2" larger in diameter than the glass panel to allow for expansion and contraction of the structure without applying a load on the glass.
Cut a wood interior and exterior window frame that fits in the rough opening you just created that the glass panel will be sandwiched between
Nail the exterior window frame in place taking care that all pieces are flush
Apply a bead of clear silicon caulk around the periphery of the rough opening where the glass will be placed
Press the glass into position. Small foam spacers (or similar flexible material) can be placed under the glass to keep it centered in the opening. Mirrored side of mirrored glass faces out.
Nail the interior window frame in place
Apply silicon caulk around the periphery of the glass on the interior and exterior
Install interior and exterior window trim around the opening to provide a finished appearance
