Ultra Low EMF Infrared Saunas

Ultra Low EMF Infrared Saunas

Ultra-Low EMF Infrared Saunas

Ultra-low EMF infrared saunas produce less than 3 milligauss (mG) of electromagnetic field radiation at the point of body contact — well below the conservative Swedish safety standard of 2.5 mG and a significant step down from standard low EMF models (6–10 mG). This collection features the Dynamic Saunas "Elite" series, which achieves ultra-low EMF through upgraded PureTech™ carbon heating panels with advanced shielding and EMF cancellation technology. Every model is ETL, CETL, and CE safety certified and built from reforested Canadian Hemlock.

For a detailed explanation of how EMF is measured in infrared saunas and what the different levels mean, read our EMF Levels in Infrared Saunas: What "Low EMF" Actually Means guide. For a side-by-side comparison of all three EMF tiers, see Low vs. Ultra-Low vs. Near-Zero EMF Infrared Saunas.

What Makes These "Ultra-Low"?

Standard low EMF infrared saunas use carbon fiber heating panels that produce 6–10 mG — already far lower than older ceramic heating elements and well within established safety guidelines. Ultra-low EMF models use the same carbon panel technology but with additional EMF reduction engineering: enhanced shielding around panel wiring, optimized panel geometry that partially cancels opposing electromagnetic fields, and increased separation between heating elements and the seating surface. The result is a measurable reduction from the 6–10 mG range down to under 3 mG — a difference that matters most for people who use their sauna daily, sit for longer sessions (30–45 minutes), or are particularly conscious about cumulative EMF exposure.

The Dynamic Elite Series

Every sauna in this collection is a Dynamic Saunas "Elite" model — an upgraded version of Dynamic's standard low EMF lineup with PureTech™ Ultra-Low EMF panels and, in most models, integrated red light therapy panels that the standard versions don't include. The Elite models share the same Canadian Hemlock construction, interior/exterior LED control panels, Bluetooth audio, and chromotherapy lighting as their standard counterparts.

1–2 Person Models

Barcelona Elite — The compact entry point. Same small footprint as the standard Barcelona (one of the best-selling infrared saunas in the U.S.) with ultra-low EMF panels. Fits easily in a closet, bathroom corner, or bedroom. Avila Elite — 1–2 person with a slightly different interior layout and panel configuration. Veneto Elite — 1–2 person with ultra-low EMF FAR infrared panels plus integrated red light therapy. Combines EMF-conscious heating with red/near-infrared light wavelengths for skin health, circulation, and cellular recovery. San Marino Elite — 2-person with ultra-low EMF panels. Santiago Elite — Dynamic's most popular 2-person model in Elite form. The Santiago is the best seller in this collection — proven design with the added benefit of ultra-low EMF panels. Versailles Elite — 2-person with red light therapy integration. Lucca Elite — 2-person with ultra-low EMF FAR infrared panels and integrated red light therapy. Llumeneres — 2-person ultra-low EMF FAR infrared.

3 Person Models

Toscana Elite — 3-person with ultra-low EMF FAR infrared panels and integrated red light therapy. The larger interior accommodates more panel coverage for better heat distribution across a wider seating area.

6 Person Models

Monaco — Dynamic's flagship large-format ultra-low EMF sauna. 6-person capacity with a full entertainment system (FM/CD radio, MP3 auxiliary, 15" LCD monitor with DVD player), Bluetooth, chromotherapy, and ultra-low EMF PureTech™ panels throughout. Built for families and shared spaces where multiple people sauna together regularly.

Ultra-Low EMF vs. Standard Low EMF

Both tiers are safe for daily use. The practical differences come down to measured EMF exposure and available features:

EMF levels: Standard low EMF models produce 6–10 mG at the panel surface; ultra-low Elite models produce under 3 mG — a reduction of 50–70%. Red light therapy: Many Elite models integrate red light therapy panels that aren't available on the standard versions. If you want both reduced EMF and red light therapy in the same unit, the Elite series delivers both. Price: Ultra-low EMF Elite models typically cost modestly more than their standard low EMF counterparts — the EMF reduction and red light therapy are the primary reasons for the price difference. Construction and features: Identical Canadian Hemlock construction, Bluetooth audio, chromotherapy, interior/exterior controls, and interior dimensions. The upgrade is in the heating panels, not the cabin.

Ultra-Low EMF vs. Near-Zero EMF

If ultra-low isn't enough and you want the absolute lowest EMF available, near-zero EMF models (under 2 mG, often under 1 mG) represent the next tier. Near-zero models typically use full spectrum infrared technology (combining FAR, mid, and near infrared wavelengths) rather than FAR-only panels, and are priced at a premium above the Elite ultra-low series. Dynamic, Finnmark Designs (cedar construction, WiFi, highest max temp), and Golden Designs, and Maxxus all offer near-zero EMF models.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is "ultra-low EMF" measured and verified?

EMF is measured in milligauss (mG) using a gauss meter at 6–8 inches from the heating panel surface — the distance where your body sits during a session. Dynamic's PureTech™ Ultra-Low EMF panels are tested to produce under 3 mG at this distance. You can independently verify with a consumer gauss meter like the TriField TF2 after installation.

Is ultra-low EMF worth the upgrade from standard low EMF?

If you sauna daily and sit for 30+ minute sessions, the cumulative difference in EMF exposure is measurable. If you're also interested in red light therapy, many Elite models include integrated panels that the standard versions don't — making the upgrade deliver two benefits (lower EMF + red light) for a modest price increase. If you sauna a few times a week for shorter sessions and aren't specifically EMF-conscious, a standard low EMF model provides the same therapeutic infrared heat at a lower price.

Can I add red light therapy to a standard low EMF model instead?

Yes — standalone red light therapy panels can be added to any infrared sauna. However, the integrated panels in the Elite series are purpose-built for the specific sauna's interior dimensions and wiring, which typically results in better panel placement and a cleaner installation than aftermarket add-ons.

Do these saunas require special electrical wiring?

No — all Dynamic Elite saunas plug into a standard 120V household outlet (15A or 20A circuit depending on the model). No electrician or dedicated circuit required. They ship fully assembled in panels and can typically be set up in under an hour.
