Warranty & Product Disclaimers

Last Updated: June 9, 2026

This Warranty and Product Disclaimers Policy ("Policy") is part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service governing your use of havenofheat.com (the "Site") and your purchase of products from Intice LLC, doing business as Haven of Heat ("Haven of Heat," "we," "us," or "our").

PLEASE READ THIS POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING OR INSTALLING ANY PRODUCT. IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS, WARRANTY INFORMATION, AND LIMITATIONS ON OUR LIABILITY.

1. Haven of Heat's Role: Authorized Retailer, Not Manufacturer

Haven of Heat is an authorized retailer and distributor of the products sold on the Site. We do not manufacture any of the products we sell.

The products offered on the Site — including saunas, sauna heaters, cold plunges, steam equipment, and related accessories from brands such as Harvia, HUUM, Saunum, SaunaLife, Sun Home Saunas, Dundalk LeisureCraft, Auroom, Finnmark, Golden Designs, Scandia, Kohler, and others — are designed, manufactured, and warranted by their respective manufacturers. We source products from manufacturers and their authorized distributors and resell them to you. Orders are typically fulfilled and shipped directly by the manufacturer or its fulfillment partner.

2. Warranty Terms

2.1 Manufacturer Warranties

Every product sold on the Site is covered exclusively by the written warranty, if any, provided by its original equipment manufacturer ("Manufacturer Warranty"). The terms, duration, coverage, exclusions, registration requirements, and claim procedures of each Manufacturer Warranty are set solely by the manufacturer. Haven of Heat does not issue, adopt, extend, modify, endorse, or guarantee any Manufacturer Warranty, and nothing on the Site — including product descriptions, blog articles, or statements by our team — should be interpreted as creating a separate warranty from Haven of Heat.

Warranty terms vary significantly by brand and product line. Where available, warranty information is summarized on individual product pages or linked in the manufacturer's documentation. We encourage you to review the applicable Manufacturer Warranty, and to register your product with the manufacturer where registration is offered, before or promptly after purchase.

2.2 Warranty Claim Assistance

Although warranty obligations rest with the manufacturer, we don't disappear after the sale. If you experience a defect or issue you believe is covered by a Manufacturer Warranty, contact us at info@havenofheat.com or (360) 233-2867. We will assist you in documenting the issue, coordinating troubleshooting, and submitting your claim to the manufacturer. However, the decision to repair, replace, or refund a defective product rests solely with the manufacturer under the terms of its warranty, and Haven of Heat cannot override, accelerate, or guarantee the outcome of any manufacturer warranty determination.

2.3 Extended Protection Plans (SureBright)

On product pages, cart page, and at checkout, you may have the option to purchase an extended protection plan offered through SureBright. These plans are optional service contracts that are sold, administered, and backed by SureBright and/or its designated obligor and insurance partners — not by Haven of Heat. Haven of Heat is not the obligor, administrator, or insurer of any protection plan, and we make no representations regarding the coverage, exclusions, or claim outcomes under any plan.

(a) The terms of coverage — including what is covered, the coverage period, exclusions, deductibles (if any), and the claims process — are governed exclusively by the plan terms and conditions provided by SureBright at or after the time of purchase. Please review those terms carefully.

(b) Extended protection plans are separate from, and in addition to, any Manufacturer Warranty described in Section 2.1. A protection plan does not modify, extend, or replace the Manufacturer Warranty, and during any period in which the Manufacturer Warranty applies, defects covered by the manufacturer should generally be claimed through the manufacturer first.

(c) All claims under an extended protection plan must be submitted directly to SureBright through the claim process described in your plan documents. Haven of Heat cannot file, adjudicate, or guarantee the outcome of protection plan claims, though we are happy to help you locate your plan information.

(d) Cancellation and refund rights for protection plans, if any, are governed by the plan terms and applicable state law.

2.4 Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act; Implied Warranties

To the extent any product sold on the Site is accompanied by a written warranty, that warranty is provided by the manufacturer, not by Haven of Heat. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 2301–2312) and applicable state law:

(a) For products accompanied by a manufacturer's written warranty, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited in duration to the duration of the manufacturer's written warranty, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

(b) For products not accompanied by any written warranty, Haven of Heat disclaims all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

(c) Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

THIS POLICY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

3. Mandatory Installation Requirements

WARNING: SAUNAS, SAUNA HEATERS, WOOD-BURNING STOVES, STEAM GENERATORS, COLD PLUNGES, AND RELATED EQUIPMENT INVOLVE EXTREME HEAT, HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICITY (TYPICALLY 240V CIRCUITS), OPEN COMBUSTION, AND WATER IN PROXIMITY TO ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. IMPROPER INSTALLATION CAN RESULT IN SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY, BURNS, ELECTROCUTION, CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING, FIRE, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR DEATH.

By purchasing products from Haven of Heat, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

(a) Licensed Electrician Required. All electrical components — including electric sauna heaters, control units, sensors, lighting, chillers, and steam generators — must be installed by a licensed, certified, and insured electrician in strict accordance with the manufacturer's installation manual and all applicable local, state, and national electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).

(b) Wood-Burning Stove Requirements. Wood-burning sauna stoves and chimney systems must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation manual, applicable fire codes, and local permitting requirements, including all specified clearances to combustibles, hearth/floor protection, and approved chimney components. We strongly recommend installation and inspection by a qualified professional, and you are responsible for confirming that wood-burning appliances are permitted at your location.

(c) Licensed Plumber Required. Steam generators and any product requiring water supply or drainage connections must be installed by a licensed, certified, and insured plumber in accordance with applicable plumbing codes.

(d) Clearances and Ventilation. You must strictly adhere to all manufacturer-specified clearances to combustible materials and ventilation requirements. Failure to do so creates a serious fire and carbon monoxide hazard.

(e) No DIY Electrical, Gas, or Plumbing Work. Haven of Heat prohibits do-it-yourself installation of electrical, gas, or plumbing components. This applies regardless of any general guidance found in our blog articles, sizing tools, or sales consultations.

FAILURE TO USE QUALIFIED, LICENSED PROFESSIONALS FOR INSTALLATION MAY VOID THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY AND CONSTITUTES A MATERIAL BREACH OF OUR TERMS OF SERVICE.

4. Acknowledgment of Product Risks

By purchasing or using any product from Haven of Heat, you acknowledge that saunas, sauna heaters, steam equipment, cold plunges, and related products involve inherent risks, including:

(a) Heat-related risks: burns from contact with heated surfaces, stones, or steam; heat exhaustion; heat stroke; and dehydration from prolonged use.

(b) Electrical risks: electric shock or electrocution from improper installation, damaged wiring, or contact between water and electrical components.

(c) Fire and combustion risks: fire resulting from improper installation, inadequate clearances, improper fuel, creosote buildup, or equipment malfunction; carbon monoxide exposure from improperly vented wood-burning appliances.

(d) Cold exposure risks: hypothermia, cardiovascular stress, and cold shock response from cold plunge use.

(e) Structural risks: structural failure resulting from improper assembly, inadequate foundations or load-bearing capacity, or excessive moisture exposure.

(f) Slip-and-fall risks: falls on wet surfaces in and around sauna and cold plunge areas.

You voluntarily assume responsibility for these risks to the extent they arise from the normal, intended use of products that have been properly installed by qualified, licensed professionals in accordance with all applicable codes and manufacturer instructions. This acknowledgment does not waive any claim you may have arising from a defective product, our gross negligence, or our willful misconduct.

5. Health and Medical Disclaimers

5.1 Not Medical Advice

Content on the Site — including blog articles, buying guides, product descriptions, and any discussion of the potential health, wellness, recovery, or therapeutic benefits of sauna use, heat therapy, infrared therapy, or cold-water immersion — is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and must not be relied upon as such. We are not healthcare professionals, and no statement on the Site has been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

5.2 Consult a Physician

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before using any products sold by Haven Of Heat, particularly if you:

(a) are pregnant or nursing;
(b) have a history of heart disease, high or low blood pressure, or circulatory conditions;
(c) have diabetes or neuropathy;
(d) take prescription medications, especially those affecting heart rate, blood pressure, or alertness;
(e) have a history of dizziness, fainting, or seizures;
(f) have had recent surgery or an acute injury; or
(g) are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Children should never use a sauna or cold plunge without direct adult supervision and physician guidance regarding appropriate duration and temperature.

5.3 HSA/FSA Purchases and Letters of Medical Necessity

If you use a third-party service such as Truemed to obtain a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) in order to pay with Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds, you acknowledge that: (a) Haven of Heat is not a healthcare provider and does not issue LMNs or make medical-necessity determinations — LMN evaluations are conducted independently by Truemed and its affiliated licensed providers; (b) we make no representations or warranties regarding the health benefits of any product, the medical necessity of any product for your circumstances, or the approval of your purchase by your HSA/FSA plan administrator; and (c) you are solely responsible for plan compliance and any tax consequences of an HSA/FSA purchase.

6. California Proposition 65 Warning

WARNING: Certain products sold on the Site — including sauna heaters, electrical components, controls, wiring, sensors, treated or finished wood products, and related accessories — may expose you to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals may include, without limitation, lead and lead compounds, wood dust, nickel, and cadmium. This warning is provided in accordance with California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65). For more information, visit www.p65warnings.ca.gov.

As a retailer, Haven of Heat relies on information supplied by manufacturers regarding the composition of their products and does not independently test products for Proposition 65-listed chemicals. Where a manufacturer provides a product-specific Proposition 65 warning on its packaging or documentation, that more specific warning controls. If you have questions about the composition of a specific product, contact us and we will make commercially reasonable efforts to obtain the information from the manufacturer.

7. Educational Content, Sizing Tools, and Consultation Disclaimer

Haven of Heat publishes educational content (including blog articles and buying guides), provides interactive tools (such as our sauna heater sizing tool), and offers product consultations by phone, chat, and email to help customers select products and plan their builds. All such content, tools, and guidance are provided "AS IS" for general informational purposes only.

(a) Our team members are not licensed architects, structural engineers, electricians, general contractors, physicians, or code-enforcement officials, and our guidance does not constitute professional architectural, engineering, construction, electrical, or medical advice.

(b) Sizing recommendations, heater-to-room calculations, and product suggestions are general estimates based on typical conditions and manufacturer guidelines. They do not account for your local building codes, climate, insulation, ventilation, structural conditions, electrical service capacity, or other site-specific factors.

(c) You are solely responsible for verifying all recommendations with appropriately licensed local professionals — and with your local permitting authority where applicable — before purchasing, building, or installing.

(d) No consultation, whether free or paid, creates a professional-client relationship between you and Haven of Heat or any member of our team.

Haven of Heat assumes no liability for structural failures, code violations, permit issues, undersized or oversized equipment, or other damages resulting from reliance on our educational content, tools, or consultations.

8. Malfunctioning Equipment — Stop Use Immediately

If you smell burning, see smoke or sparks, notice a circuit breaker repeatedly tripping, smell gas or exhaust, or observe any other sign of malfunction or unsafe operation, shut the unit down immediately — at the breaker for electric equipment — and discontinue use.

Do not operate any heater, stove, chiller, or other equipment that is malfunctioning or suspected of malfunctioning. Continued use of malfunctioning or improperly installed equipment creates a serious safety hazard and may void the manufacturer warranty. Do not resume use until the equipment has been inspected, repaired as needed, and cleared for safe operation by a licensed professional.

9. Product Recalls and Consumer Product Safety

If any product sold through the Site becomes the subject of a recall, safety alert, or corrective action initiated by the manufacturer or the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), we will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify affected customers using the contact information on file with their order. You agree to (a) cooperate with any recall or corrective action, (b) immediately cease use of any recalled product, and (c) follow the manufacturer's or CPSC's instructions regarding repair, replacement, or return. We encourage you to register your products with the manufacturer and to monitor the CPSC recall database at www.cpsc.gov/Recalls.

10. Relationship to Other Policies

This Policy supplements, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy. In the event of a conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service regarding warranties or product disclaimers, this Policy controls.
